Traffic Power CEO: Biggest blackhat SEO lands in Jail

When I was new to Search Engine Optimization, I worked in an agency called "Websourced". I've picked up SEO quickly because I worked on hundreds of clients while working there, doing different tasks from writing meta tags to keyword research to critiquing site architecture and all.

While I worked there, I came across a competitor that uses techniques that're against Google webmaster rules, which usually resulted in getting their clients penalized or banned. The name of the company's "traffic power", and I've heard of them described as "devils of SEO". They're notorious for creating search engine spam. I just read an article saying their CEO is in jail for real estate scam. I thought it was somewhat ironic, that the thing he's infamous for didn't get him in too much trouble other than hundreds of lawsuits, but he got thrown in jail for doing something completely different.

It's been a few years since I worked for Websourced. I'm thankful that I still have some good friends from there, and they jumpstarted my career. I'm also thankful that the subject of SEO is more well-known, so search engine spammers (black hat SEO's) have a tougher time acquiring clients.
