Kiwi Bird Flying on YouTube
So I saw this video on YouTube, and this kiwi bird. Kiwi birds can't fly, and this one spent its whole life creating a "horizontal plane" out of a cliff so when it falls down, it would know what it's like to fly.
I'm slightly confused about the ending: Did the kiwi bird die at the end of it, from falling down a cliff because it "fulfilled its life dream of flying"? Or would the kiwi bird be smart enough to do it where there's deep water at the bottom of the cliff, so it can stay alive, climb back up the cliff and do it over and over every day?

2 things
1. it's a cartoon
2. you missed the point
So what was the point?
exactly
It is time to step away from the computer and/or arcade game and go outside. The breeze and some sun will do you a world of good.
I think its a pretty good interpretation "deep water". but it seems brent sees a deeper meaning to this story that you probably don't (he assumes)...
As someone said on another site (GameFAQs, funnily enough):
He wanted to experience what it was like to fly. So he nailed the trees to the side of the canyon so that he could make the illusion of knowing what it was like to fly.
Unfortunately, the 'thump' at the end pretty much confirmed he's dead ;_;
Even if something very soft was situated at the bottom, the velocity at which he was falling would've negated that.
The video doesn't even need a thump. The kiwi gets to fly. You know he's going to die someday. So what if he splatters himself all over the bottom of the cliff or gets eaten by a cat tomorrow or dies of old age. He got to fly.
It isn't about dying or surviving, it is about the obtaining dream against all odds.
