Gay Jumper Trumps Celtic Comeback for Grizzlies

My buddy Eddie sent me a link to this NBA article, knowing I would appreciate it very much. His Email said "Hey Paul, I know you would enjoy the title of this email. It's Rudy Gay, the guy who you made fun of on draft day." Ah.........he knows me too well.

On a more serious note, a coworker and I discussed whether it was unintentional or a marketing tactic, using a ridiculous title to attract attention to the story.

What do you guys think?

You didn't link to the article so we can only really guess. If it is an AP or Reuters story it is possible it was unintentional - I think lots of writers submit stories and I don't know how much oversight there is (as far as editors and stuff like that). There is no way a newspaper printed that by accident - if they guy writing the column didn't notice, I'm sure his editor would have. And given the way the media works these days with regards to sensationalism, I'm pretty sure it was intentional either way.
