My New George Foreman Grill
Just decided to buy a new George Forman grill 2 days ago, don't even know what led me to do it. I just woke up that day and decided "I think I'd attempt to cook if I had one of those". I went to Target after work and bought a personal sized one, big enough to cook two hamburgers or one steak.
I've been busy with stuff last night and tonight. I don't think I'd cook this weekend because I have weekend plans both Sat and Sun night. I'll be out of town next week. I would like to try out my indoor grill sometime.

nice... i know you're gonna love it once you try it. i have 3, i think lol. not only do they grill but they drain the fat and grease right in front of your eyes!!! ok, well its not magic but its kinda cool. did you buy the one with the color lid? those are kinda cutei bought one of those as a housewarming gift one time. k well enough about that lol let me know how it goes!
Sorry, it's a white lid. I won't get to use it in the next week because I'll be in NY. I'll let you know how it goes after I get back.
FYI - geogre formeman grills make killer crilled cheese sandwiches
Sorry Brent, already got a toaster oven for that. Make the grilled cheese, put it in the toaster oven, and hit "toast".
you really have to listen to me on this one: the grilled cheese you are eating sucks.
Follow these instructions and you will be a happy man:
1. butter 2 slices of bread
2. insert favorite cheese. i reccomend veleeta(sp?)
3. place sandwich into foreman grill and grill that sumbitch until it is golden brown.
4. eat
this delicious snack is best served around 2:30AM after many beers.
How's it diff from replacing step 3 with "place sandwich in toaster oven and hit "Toast"?

i agree with brent on this one, paul. let's just say its called "grilled cheese" for a reason... it is meant to be grilled not toasted unless it were called "toasted cheese" but that would just be akward lol
I seem to be out-numbered. I guess I now know what's the first thing I'll make with my new grill when I get back from NY.
ana and brent are right about the grilled cheese. I usually add pickles and tomatoes if I have 'em. Also, I use any two cheeses I have (usually cheddar and provolone). It can't be beat!
I consider myself an expert in grilled/toasted cheese. There IS a difference. One can be in the mood for either. Sometimes you want grilled cheese ... sometimes you want toasted cheese. It really just depends on how firm you want your bread really. Now, the George Foreman grill is akin to a sandwich maker ... which is also awesome for grilled cheese. I like to put lunchmeat on my grilled/toasted cheese sandwich. Kicks up the flavor a bit. Oh, and I was present for the buying of the grill. Yay me!
