Free Stuff Magazine

Received this in an Email from a friend. I made an order, it went through without asking for my credit card. Let's hope I get the magazines. :)

Just select one year, enter the coupon code "freestuff" and enter your mailing address and email (use email that you don't mind getting spammed or fake). Just keep hitting next and never asks for your credit card. Also, "freeoffer" works for a few other magazines.

I didn't see the "coupon code" field anywhere... But anyway, can you believe the site actually takes users to a page where they must enter their card details, and that page is NOT encrypted! Here's the URL of the one I got to: http://magsforless.com/checkout1.cfm?new=1&nologin=1

It has a logo on the right column that says 128-bit encryption, but the lock icon on the bottom of the page is unlocked. :P Dangerous!

You have to click on "Add to shopping cart" first, and then scroll down for the coupon code field.

Wow, CC# without encryption, that's kinda sad. No https protection or anything?

Nope! No protection! An icon on the same page tells you they use a secure connection, but looking at the bottom of the page, you don't see any lock icon (bottom right of browser window - which the browser will display if the page is secure). :P

Yeah, good call. Let's steal all CC transactions that go though their domain. j/k :)
